Back in 1999, while working at a company called Irista, Paul was working as a Junior Network/Systems Engineer and was tasked with updating network diagrams. He asked his Senior Engineer why all outside networks were represented by ‘cloud’ graphics, and his response stuck with him. He said: “It’s all very arbitrary, and it’s just what people tend to use. People use clouds, but it really doesn’t matter. You could even make them bunnies, and it would all be the same”
It sort of stuck, and for the rest of his career, Paul would write all his network diagrams with bunnies on them, and it kind of became a signature thing.
Soon software diagrams, pipeline diagrams, and other assorted documentation all had a sneaky bunny (or two...or more) on them.
Later when he started his Devops consulting company, he called it ‘Bunny Wranglers’, as a sort of inside joke. We wrangle all those dang bunnies!
Unfortunately, Bunny Wranglers is completely booked up at this time and is not accepting new customers. But check back soon!
